The 8 point lift is a set of guidelines that has been designed where there are specific areas of the face that can be injected to get a certain look or certain movement. Typically the procedure is based around eight suggested injections although not all points may need injecting – it’s a bespoke treatment that depends on an individual’s features.
The amount of filler that is used is important as the volume will continue to develop over the month that follows and too much will result in a puffy “pillow face”. The 8 point lift takes extensive training and an artistic eye to be able to do. Here at our dental surgery we offer the 8 point lift and have done so for some time now. We have had extensive training in providing the 8 point lift, so you can expect to receive an excellent standard of treatment.
Typically the first three points of the treatment are along the cheekbone and under the tear trough, point four is then along the nasal-labial folds don from the nostrils to the corners of the mouth. Point five is under the bottom lip, six and seven are along the jawline and number eight is at the front of the ear.
When you come to us you can expect our highly skilled team member to choose which to inject depending on your case, this is because the way that your muscles and the way that your features are interrelated are unique to you which means it could be different for someone else.
In the time that we’ve been offering the 8 point lift we’ve achieved outstanding results for our patients, with cheekbones being lifted, hollows under the eyes diminshes, lines from the nose to mouth reduced and there is even a tweak upwards at the corner of the mouth. The symmetry that determines the appeal of a face to another’s eye is also created or restored.
The latest technology in fillers means that the results of the 8 point lift can last approximately 18 months compared to the six to 12 months of older technology. This treatment is particularly useful for patients who have noticed the early signs of ageing but who find that it is far too early in their lives to have facelift surgery.
